Fun Easter ideas!!!!

When we think Easter, usually, the first thought that crosses the mind is chocolate!!!! Celebrating Easter with my kids is always fun, we always do the traditional egg hunt!!!! I probably enjoy it as much as they do! We make bunny cupcakes, colored boiled eggs, Easter cards and paper basket... and so on. We usually end up with a stomach ache....having eaten way too much chocolate, but it is so good! Impossible to resist!
In order to make it even more fun for parents, I've browsed through the net some delicious Easter cocktails! I didn't even know that existed, but after carnival I thought it would be nice to keep going!

Bunny Cupcakes:
My favorite cupcakes recipe is the one from Magnolia Bakery in New-York. I use icing (with food coloring in it) and sweets, m&m's, marshmallows, ...  to make the ears nose and eyes of the bunny....
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter (softened), 2 cups sugar, 4 large eggs (room temperature), 1 1/2 cups self rising flour, 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two 12-cup muffin tins with cupcake papers.
In a large bowl, cream the butter until smooth. Add the sugar gradually and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at the time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flours and add in four parts, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract, beating well after each addition. Spoon the batter into the cups about three-quarters full. Bake until the tops spring back when lightly touched, about 20-22 minutes. *

Colored boiled eggs:
It is most likely fun to boil eggs with food coloring... it also a nice trick to make your kids eat eggs!!!

Holliday cards:

Paper basket:

Cocktails:
"Yellow Bunny"
1 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
1/2 oz Vodka
1 fresh banana slice
Put the alcohol in a shaker with ice, shake hard, add banana slice and serve

"Chocolate Martini Easter"
2 shots vodka
2 shots white crème de cacao
1 shot triple sec
Shake al ingredient with ice and strain in a cocktail glass.

"Easter Berry Drink"
1 cup frozen blueberries
12 frozen raspberries
2 tbsp frozen juice concentrate (any flavor)
1 oz rhum
Combine all ingredients in a blender and serve!

"Raspberry Easter Martini"
2 1/2 shots of raspberry vodka
1 1/2 shots white crème de cacao
Shake the ingredients with ice and strain in a cocktail glass.

To be totally honest, I haven't tried all of them...Chocolate and fruits don't go well together for me! but the yellow bunny and berry drink, yummy!

Happy Easter, enjoy!!!
