Summer activities with your kids!!!

School is off! It's time for our kids to rest and enjoy some free time...With my kids, I have to find fun activities otherwise they get bored really easily. So I always try to enroll them in a summer program at some point, mostly in sports. But when they're home, I've come up with a variety of outdoors game to keep them happy!

Plastic pool
You can always buy a little plastic pool, put buckets, toys and balls in it. My kids could stay in it all day long!

Water Limbo

This game can be played on the back lawn. What you'll need is a hose with a nozzle that will allow for a straight, steady stream of water. Use the steady stream of water as the limbo stick. Kids must maneuver their bodies under the stream of water without getting soaked. The lower the stream is, the harder it is to go under it. The stream will be lowered when every kid makes it under the previous stream.

Croquet
We got a little croquet game for the entire family. It's nice to play all together.

Chalks
Easy as well, buy chalks for the sidewalk. They can do it on rocks, pavements,...It will wash away with water.

Hide-and-seek
Always work, good for everywhere.

Bug hunt
You can buy one of these little plastic container with a magnifier as a lid...Catch some bugs and observe them together. We always release them afterwards....

Picnic in the woods or fields
We have a picnic basket at home. I make some sandwiches, fruits kebab, corn on a cob, and salads. We pack up everything with a blanket and go in the woods or the field, find a nice shady place and it will do the trick!

Sprinklers
They have to race from one point to the other without being wet by the sprinkler....Off course they always do because that's the fun part!

Capture the flag
2 teams each have a flag (or other marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base," and bring it safely back to their own base. Enemy players can be "tagged" by players in their home territory; these players are then, depending on the agreed rules, out of the game or members of the opposite team.

Badminton or  kids-tennis.
We also have a set of soft ball with tennis racket, they love it. It is very good for their psychomotricity.

Treasure Hunt
This is one of many different types of games which can have one or more players who try to find hidden articles, locations or places by using a series of clues. They love it if there is a little treat at the end!

I hope these activities will keep your kids busy and happy,
enjoy!!!
